Team Overview

We operate at the core of electronic trading by managing the production infrastructure responsible for processing billions of dollars in trades every day. As part of the Production Engineering group, our Frontline support team handles operational risks proactively and reactively. Accountabilities include monitoring and supporting Algorithmic, Smart Routing, Order Management, and MTF systems.

Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, business support, and technology teams, we maintain and enhance electronic trading services, ensuring their availability, high performance, and adaptability for future needs.

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Provide direct business and technical support to the trading desk as the primary contact.
• Manage and take ownership of the production environment.
• Serve as the first-level support for troubleshooting issues.
• Monitor the health of the trading platform through alerting, provisioning, and capacity management systems.
• Automate recurring maintenance and problem resolution tasks to enhance efficiency.
• Communicate and document changes in production and contribute to improving change management processes and tools.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives by conducting thorough incident reviews and root cause analyses.
• Encourage and challenge cross-functional teams to enhance production practices.
• Plan and execute emergency response drills to ensure preparedness.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience managing a production environment within financial markets.
• Strong understanding of order management workflows and downstream processes.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience with demanding users.
• Ability and enthusiasm to develop a deep understanding of the business.
• Skilled at prioritizing and triaging incoming support requests efficiently.
• Hands-on experience working in large-scale Unix/Linux environments.
• Proficiency in using and maintaining application monitoring, performance, and capacity management tools for large systems.
• Competence in writing SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
• Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or similar languages for automation and support tasks.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior exposure to equities cash markets and trading systems.
• Programming experience with C++, Python, Java, or JavaScript technologies.
