Procurement Manager

About the Role

Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar, part of Nord Anglia Education, is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee and lead the school's procurement activities. The role involves strategizing and managing procurement to ensure cost-effective, compliant purchasing that supports operational efficiency and quality learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the school's procurement strategy aligned with regional and institutional goals.
• Create annual procurement plans collaboratively with the Operations Manager, Senior Leadership Team, and Finance Manager.
• Drive initiatives to achieve value for money through competitive sourcing, benchmarking, and strategic negotiations.
• Manage tendering processes adhering to governance standards.
• Negotiate and oversee commercial contracts and supplier agreements.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, internal financial controls, and Nord Anglia policies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records to support audit and governance processes.
• Establish and nurture strong supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance to reduce operational risks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to guarantee timely procurement and delivery of necessary resources and services.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
• Possesses a professional procurement certification such as CIPS or equivalent (preferred).
• Demonstrates a minimum of five years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles.
• Strong skills in negotiation and contract management.
• Financial acumen and analytical proficiency.
• Experienced in working within structured governance and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with Qatar’s procurement laws is advantageous.
• Experience within education, hospitality, or service sectors is beneficial.
