Operator - Stores

Job Overview

We are seeking a Stores Operator to be based in Redruth, covering the West Cornwall area. This role involves routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of tools and personal protective equipment (PPE), assisting with store maintenance, and supporting inspections of network assets when required. Comprehensive training will be provided to prepare you for these responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on tools and PPE.
• Assist in maintaining the stores to ensure operational efficiency.
• Support the inspection of network assets as directed.
• Adapt flexibly to support the team in achieving its objectives within a demanding work environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess English and Mathematics qualifications equivalent to GCSE level (grades 1-9/G-A*) or Functional Skills qualifications.
• License to drive a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) up to category C and trained in Fork Lift Truck operation is highly preferred; however, support to obtain necessary certifications will be provided.
• Ability to work independently and confidently in a safety-critical environment.
• Mobility across the coverage area and willingness to undertake out-of-hours standby duties as needed.
• Ability to think quickly and act responsibly under pressure.
