The Central Technical Office at Azizi is instrumental in delivering innovative solutions, addressing complex onsite challenges, and ensuring precise and efficient design execution. As a Material Engineer specializing in mechanical systems, you will play a key role in selecting, testing, and verifying the quality of materials used in various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects to guarantee compliance with project specifications, standards, and performance criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the selection, inspection, and quality control of mechanical construction materials utilized in MEP projects.
  • Ensure materials conform to project technical requirements, legal regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Handle all categories of mechanical materials involved in Fire Fighting, Plumbing, HVAC, and LPG systems operations.
  • Evaluate and approve material submittals to align with project and design specifications.
  • Coordinate closely with Design, Procurement, and Construction teams to improve material efficiency, reduce costs, and promote sustainability.
  • Collaborate with site teams, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and procurement to guarantee prompt material approvals and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of material testing and ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards.
  • Contribute to value engineering efforts specifically focused on mechanical material selection.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in the field.
  • Work experience encompassing both contracting and consultancy environments.
  • Exposure to residential and high-rise building projects within the UAE.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical material properties, testing protocols, and quality assurance standards.
