Job description
Position Overview
Join Sodexo at Claflin University as a General Maintenance Worker, where your skills in maintenance and safety will directly contribute to a better workplace and community environment. This is a full-time role requiring availability for various shifts with flexible scheduling.
Key Duties
- Complete maintenance services and repairs across multiple trade areas such as minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical tasks, and vehicle maintenance.
- Handle routine work like replacing light bulbs, installing paper dispensers, filter changes, door lock replacements, and minor decorative maintenance tasks that do not require licensed tradespeople.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance for scheduled shifts.
- Adapt to additional duties as assigned, which may vary by client needs and business requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants should be reliable, cooperative team players who prioritize a safe and healthy work environment.
- A minimum of two years' experience in related maintenance fields is necessary.
- Possession of appropriate licenses or certifications relevant to the scope of work as per city and state regulations.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Work Conditions
Work schedules are subject to variation and will be communicated during the interview process, with a preference for candidates who have open availability.
