Job Overview

The Freight Broker is responsible for overseeing freight movement across the United States by facilitating coordination between shippers and carriers. This role involves negotiating shipping rates, ensuring on-time deliveries, and nurturing strong business relationships.

Key Duties

• Organize the coordination of shipments between shippers and carriers
• Develop and maintain a dependable network of carriers
• Negotiate pricing and terms for freight services
• Monitor shipments and address any issues that arise
• Keep customers informed with regular communication and updates
• Ensure adherence to all applicable U.S. freight regulations
• Maintain precise records and documentation related to shipments

Qualifications

• At least six months experience in U.S. freight brokerage or logistic operations
• Understanding of freight processes and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Capability to work night shifts in a fast-moving environment
• Experience with load boards, freight software systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
