Bluebeam is committed to revolutionizing the construction industry by providing intelligent software solutions that enhance efficiency, connectivity, and safety on construction sites, improving the workflow for design and construction professionals worldwide.

The DevOps Engineer plays a vital role in developing, automating, and scaling the cloud infrastructure that supports the SiteDocs platform. This role focuses on making software deployment to production dependable, consistent, and secure while ensuring high availability for customers. Additionally, this role provides engineering-led operational support during business hours for the APAC region, including monitoring platform health, resolving production incidents, and managing Australian data center infrastructure. Collaboration with global software engineering teams is key to designing scalable and resilient systems, refining deployment pipelines, and automating operational tasks to minimize manual efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and release automation utilizing GitHub and Azure DevOps.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using infrastructure as code tools, with a preference for Terraform.
  • Continuously monitor system metrics such as performance, availability, capacity, and security, proactively addressing alerts.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement platform reliability improvements.
  • Provide operational and on-call support in the APAC time zone, including participation in a global incident response rotation.
  • Automate repetitive infrastructure and deployment tasks to reduce operational risks and facilitate smoother releases.
  • Collaborate across multiple time zones with engineering, quality assurance, and security teams to design secure, scalable solutions.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, operational runbooks, and procedures to ensure shared knowledge across regions.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience as a DevOps engineer or in a related technical role.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Experience in infrastructure as code, ideally with Terraform.
  • Proven ability building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
  • Solid understanding of Git and version control best practices.
  • Familiarity with system and solution architecture patterns, focusing on scalability and resilience.
  • Capability to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production environments.
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership over tasks from inception to completion.
  • Proactive mindset, anticipating challenges and acting independently.
  • Team-oriented with effective communication skills spanning technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-solving approach, supporting both the product and team.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in software engineering, IT infrastructure, or cloud operations roles.
  • At least 3 years specifically in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and infrastructure as code.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of network architectures, including virtual networks, gateways, and security design.
  • Experience working with scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered development assistants like Claude and GitHub Copilot.
  • Knowledge of SQL database systems.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400) are advantageous.
  • Experience supporting multi-region SaaS platforms and relevant data center infrastructure.
