Overview
This remote role based in Saudi Arabia offers an exceptional opportunity to lead enterprise-grade data, cloud, and AI transformation projects. The position focuses on architecting and deploying modern lakehouse solutions for large organizations, combining practical technical mastery with strategic design and client collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and deliver robust, scalable enterprise data architectures using Databricks within complex transformation efforts.
- Create scalable data pipelines and solutions utilizing Databricks, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Apache Spark, PySpark, and SQL technologies.
- Provide hands-on leadership throughout all phases, including architecture design, development, deployment, and system optimization.
- Ensure strong data governance and security by employing tools like Unity Catalog to maintain compliance and control.
- Engage directly with enterprise clients to gather requirements and translate them into executable technical architectures.
- Guide stakeholders on strategies for cloud adoption, data analytics, and AI transformation ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support infrastructure automation using Terraform and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for streamlined operations.
- Leverage deep expertise in Databricks best practices to accelerate project success and delivery quality.
- Contribute actively to solution design documentation, planning, and architectural decision-making processes across projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 3 and 8 years of relevant experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, analytics consulting, or related technology domains.
- Advanced hands-on skills with Databricks, Azure, and GCP platforms, including proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Mandatory recognition as a Databricks Champion or possession of equivalent verified Databricks expertise.
- Demonstrated background in enterprise data architecture, lakehouse design, and managing extensive implementation projects.
- Strong proficiency in Apache Spark, PySpark, SQL, Unity Catalog, and modern data governance methodologies.
- Excellent client-facing communication capabilities with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CI/CD practices, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience with the Databricks Professional Services Delivery Provider Program (DPP) is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working autonomously on challenging technical issues.
- A consultative and collaborative approach, thriving in dynamic enterprise environments.
- Preference for candidates available within a 30-day notice period; immediate start is highly regarded.
