Data Stage Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Stage Developer with 5 to 10 years of expertise to join our teams in Bengaluru, Chennai, or Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy ETL solutions using IBM DataStage, contributing through all phases of the project lifecycle and ensuring high-quality data integration practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement ETL workflows utilizing IBM DataStage, including migrating and testing ETL systems.
• Participate extensively in low-level design, development, code reviews, testing, and deployment of ETL projects.
• Construct parallel ETL jobs employing stages such as Copy, Join, Merge, Lookup, Funnel, Filter, Sort, Remove Duplicates, Sequential file, Data set, Lookup file set, Aggregator, Change Capture, and Transformer.
• Develop routines to import data from diverse sources including Oracle 9i, SQL Server, and flat text files.
• Employ strong UNIX and SQL skills to support development and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with data analysts and architects to gather and understand business requirements for data processes.
• Optimize current ETL operations for enhanced performance and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Maintain data accuracy and consistency across various data sources.
• Document all ETL processes thoroughly for technical reference.
• Engage in Agile project environments and utilize JIRA for defect tracking and change management.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities to address technical challenges and operational needs.
• Appreciate the critical role of operations support in successful business delivery.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Graduates from any discipline are eligible to apply.
• Experience range of 5 to 10 years in ETL development, with specific focus on IBM DataStage.
• Comprehensive understanding of database and data warehousing concepts.
