Big Data Administrator (Cloudera)

Position Overview

Teamware Solutions is searching for a seasoned Big Data Administrator specializing in Cloudera technologies to join their team in Dubai, UAE. This senior-level role demands 10 to 15 years of robust experience in managing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise Big Data platforms, spanning on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Hadoop clusters and Big Data platforms within Cloudera ecosystems.
• Implement and provide support for Cloudera CDP, CML, and Apache NiFi infrastructures.
• Ensure seamless integration of source systems to facilitate reliable data flows.
• Optimize platform performance through tuning, capacity assessment, and sizing enhancements.
• Handle release processes including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment of Big Data applications.
• Oversee infrastructure maintenance across diverse environments such as on-premise, hybrid cloud, and public cloud.
• Develop and manage backup strategies, disaster recovery, business continuity, and implement IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) compliant with ITIL standards.
• Manage security operations: vulnerability remediation, patching, security agents, and coordinate penetration testing activities.
• Monitor daily platform performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and maintain high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with business units, technical teams, vendors, and service providers.

Requirements

• Between 10 to 15 years of experience in Big Data platform administration and operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise administering Cloudera and Hadoop clusters.
• Proficient in managing Cloudera CDP, CML, and Apache NiFi tools.
• Deep understanding of Big Data architectures, data integration from multiple sources, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, DevOps methodologies, containerization, and managing release cycles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure management across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud platforms.
• Solid background in capacity planning, platform sizing, backup solutions, disaster recovery plans, and ITSCM aligned with ITIL.
• Expertise in Big Data security practices, vulnerability management, patching, and penetration testing processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in Cloudera or Big Data technologies.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise Big Data environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based operational frameworks.
• Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, security teams, and cloud environments.
