Role Responsibilities
- Ensure an appropriate number of vehicles are present during each shift and that parking arrangements are orderly.
- Guide incoming customers to available parking spots efficiently.
- Monitor and count vehicles on premises periodically throughout the shift.
- Issue violation warnings to visitors and tenants who breach parking policies.
- Patrol parking areas on foot or, if assigned, using customized motorized carts across transient and reserved parking zones.
- Assist customers who have misplaced their parked vehicles.
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to uniform and work schedule requirements.
- courteously respond to customer inquiries and escalate to the Facility Manager when necessary.
- Manage vehicle traffic at entry and exit points as needed.
- Support maintenance and repair tasks related to parking equipment and other general facility upkeep as directed.
- Report incidents, safety concerns, policy violations, or unusual activities promptly to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate hazards such as debris, spills, or water accumulation to the garage office.
- Serve as a substitute for valet roles when authorized and required.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of garage areas and surrounding major streets, landmarks, and highways.
- Assist the Facility Manager with additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Less than high school education or a minimum of one month of relevant experience, training, or equivalent combination.
- Licensing: Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with a good driving record if required to operate company vehicles.
- Availability: May include working second and third shifts or weekends depending on location needs.
- Language: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence and effectively communicate information directly to customers and colleagues.
- Math Skills: Capable of basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in the context of American currency.
- Appearance: Expected to maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear the full uniform consistently.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, and manual handling of cash and equipment; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a pay rate of $22.66 per hour. Eligible employees are entitled to participate in comprehensive benefits programs including medical, dental, vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance, life and accident insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
