Internship Overview
This internship offers hands-on experience in testing accounting software applications, focusing on core financial transactions and reports. Interns will be responsible for validating various accounting functions using real-world business requirements. The role supports remote work with a flexible schedule requiring about 30 hours weekly over six months.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and verify accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy of debit and credit entries.
- Design and execute test cases aligned with accounting business processes.
- Evaluate General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) functionalities.
- Confirm journal entries, tax computations, discounts, and overall accounting balances.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of end-to-end accounting operations.
- Match system-generated outcomes with expected accounting results and source documentation.
- Assess month-end and year-end closing procedures and related financial workflows.
- Validate financial statements including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet reports.
- Document defects, verify corrections, and perform regression testing to ensure stability.
- Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and finance teams to resolve accounting-related discrepancies.
