Position Overview

This role can be located in either Waikato or Bay of Plenty regions. It is established to support Aon's strategic growth, focusing on candidates eager to develop their careers within our team. The Trainee Fire Inspector will execute detailed inspections of sprinkler, alarm, and hydrant systems to ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and client standards. Building proactive client relationships and identifying potential issues early are core duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive inspections on new and existing fire protection systems to verify compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure fire protection infrastructure meets required standards.
  • Identify training needs within the team and address any associated knowledge gaps.
  • Maintain precise records and documentation related to inspections and findings.
  • Contribute positively to the team culture and workplace efficiency.
  • Follow company health and safety protocols rigorously.
  • Uphold and promote Aon's corporate values and objectives.

Candidate Profile

  • Practical experience in the fire protection sector, whether in service or installation roles.

  • Self-driven with the ability to manage workloads independently and identify process improvements.
  • Flexible and adaptive communication skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

A valid, full, and clean driving license is required as a company vehicle will be supplied.
