Primary Objective
The Senior Manager will oversee serialization data operations challenges impacting BMS sites, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and customers. This leader will drive analysis and resolution of serialization data issues across markets and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory reporting requirements. They will also support digitization strategies for enhanced decision-making and serve as a subject matter expert for serialization data management, continuous improvement, and various business development activities such as acquisitions, divestitures, and product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support the serialization operations data workstream.
- Ensure achievement of serialization data objectives, emphasizing accuracy and right-first-time delivery.
- Develop and nurture strong partnerships with stakeholders across logistics, order-to-cash (O2C), master data, packaging, quality, and IT departments.
- Address serialization-related data requirements throughout functional areas.
- Manage technical solutions to meet regulatory serialization compliance in all markets timely.
- Lead data workstream coordination for existing products and new product introductions.
- Perform data analyses, recommend and implement mitigation strategies, and maintain alignment with project timelines and corrective actions.
- Support commercial change management processes related to serialization.
- Conduct serialization data operational assessments following corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Oversee daily operations and resolution of data issues for serialized commercial products.
- Build operational capabilities to enhance efficiency, robustness, and sustainability.
- Track and report serialization data metrics by lot, site, and market; oversee technical evaluations following quality alerts.
- Monitor and ensure sustainability of implemented technical processes.
- Remediate processes to align serialized data flow with physical product movements.
- Drive process improvements to close gaps, strengthen procedures, and ensure standardization across sites, CMOs, 3PLs, and customers.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Between 6 and 10 years of total professional experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, serialization, supply chain logistics, or order-to-cash processes, including at least 3 years in data or data operations roles.
- Familiarity with GxP processes and systems.
- Strong understanding of interactions among business units, IT teams, and external partners.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and serialization platforms like SAP ATTP or TraceLink.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve data exceptions promptly.
- Capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing priorities to meet multiple deadlines.
