Role Overview
We seek a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the strategic evolution of our machine learning systems. This role involves innovating and enhancing infrastructure for improved scalability, performance, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with Data Science teams to ensure smooth deployment and optimization of models in production, focusing on both real-time and batch inference pipelines integral to our predictive services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor mid-level Machine Learning Engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices within the team.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Communicate complex machine learning concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating insights into actionable business initiatives.
- Present innovative solutions to senior leadership, influencing and shaping the strategic direction for machine learning applications.
- Drive integration of emerging technologies and tools to maintain cutting-edge machine learning frameworks aligned with industry advancements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Expert knowledge in cloud platforms, preferably AWS, paired with strong skills in containerization and orchestration, such as Kubernetes.
- Deep expertise in software development, DevOps, and MLOps practices with successful implementation in production environments.
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable machine learning models and services.
- Solid understanding of machine learning principles and the ability to partner with data scientists on model deployment and efficiency improvements.
- Hands-on experience with MLflow for experiment tracking and model management, and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.
- Background in data engineering, with working knowledge of Kafka and stream processing technologies.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with additional programming languages is advantageous.
