Job Summary
The Paint Prepper position involves preparing trailers for painting by performing tasks such as washing, masking, sanding, and caulking according to specified instructions. The role requires moving trailers along the production line and supporting painting quality standards through diligent work ethic and multitasking abilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean products thoroughly to eliminate all oil and dirt residues.
- Apply caulk to cracks using pneumatic and manual caulking guns when necessary.
- Transfer products into paint booths by moving trailers on a conveyor system or pulling parts racks loaded with components.
- Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding or other methods.
- Handle paint materials, related substances, and hazardous waste following safety protocols.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and complete relevant documentation properly.
- Dispose of paint, thinners, rags, and masking materials responsibly and according to guidelines.
- Be willing to work overtime, including extended shifts and weekend hours as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support business needs.
