Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer skilled in the implementation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructures using Cisco, Aruba, and Juniper technologies. The role ensures robust network availability, security, and peak performance across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and data center settings.
Key Duties
- Deploy, configure, and maintain network hardware including Cisco, Aruba, and Juniper routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Design and oversee complex enterprise network environments including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN architectures.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static routes.
- Manage Layer 2 technologies comprising VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), EtherChannel/LACP, and trunking.
- Implement Layer 3 services including inter-VLAN routing, high availability protocols HSRP/VRRP, ACLs, NAT, and DHCP.
- Deploy and administer Aruba wireless infrastructure such as Aruba Mobility Controllers, Instant Access Points, and Aruba Central.
- Operate Juniper devices using Junos OS to handle routing, switching, and enforce security policies.
- Continuously monitor network health via management tools, conduct proactive issue detection, and perform root cause analysis.
- Apply network security best practices including AAA, 802.1X authentication, VPN configuration, port security, and access control enforcement.
- Conduct firmware upgrades, backups, disaster recovery planning, and manage configuration changes systematically.
- Create and keep up-to-date network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and related technical documentation.
- Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 technical support including participating in on-call rotations when necessary.
Required Competencies and Knowledge
- Comprehensive understanding of Juniper, Cisco, and Aruba routing and switching technologies.
- Proficient hands-on experience with Aruba wired and wireless networking solutions.
- Strong expertise in Juniper routing, switching, and Junos OS platform.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, Quality of Service (QoS), and multicast technologies.
- Experienced in routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and RIP.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities, analytical thinking, and capability to produce detailed documentation.
- Strong grasp of IP addressing schemes and subnetting principles.
- Experience with HPE Aruba Networking solution operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Preferred Certifications
- CCNA or CCNP Enterprise certification.
- Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) or Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP).
- Juniper certifications such as JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, or JNCIP-ENT.
