Java Software Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Java Backend Developer with extensive knowledge in Java technologies, Spring Boot, Microservices architectures, Kafka messaging, and Cucumber testing framework to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting scalable enterprise-level applications within an Agile framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust backend applications leveraging Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement Microservices-based architectures.
• Create and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services utilizing Apache Kafka.
• Author automated test cases using Cucumber and behavior-driven development (BDD) methodologies.
• Conduct unit and integration testing along with thorough code reviews.
• Enhance application performance, scalability, and dependability.
• Work collaboratively with UI developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and Product teams.
• Diagnose and resolve production-level issues promptly.
• Engage actively in Agile processes such as sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Minimum of five years' experience developing Java applications.
• Proficient in Spring Boot and Microservices development.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven messaging.
• Skilled in writing BDD test scenarios using Cucumber.
• Strong knowledge of REST API design, including security and optimization.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipelines and version control using Git/GitHub.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Competence in SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
