Job Overview
The General Helper will assist in the preparation, presentation, and service of meals while maintaining high standards for food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and plate meals for the following day’s production.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times.
- Properly store food using correct wrapping, dating, safety, and rotation procedures.
- Perform general cleaning tasks and handle waste disposal appropriately.
- Distribute necessary supplies, utensils, and mobile equipment.
- Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure consistent quality, correct serving temperatures, and appropriate portion sizes.
- Maintain compliance with all mandatory sanitation and safety regulations.
- Operate in various workstations, including meal packaging and distribution areas.
- Willingness to learn skid wrapping techniques for finished products.
- Assist with food preparation and cooking duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience at Tim Hortons is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in coffee preparation and barista skills are required.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with cash register operation is beneficial.
- Excellent customer service skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
