The Energy and Industrial division at UGL is experiencing rapid growth, fueled by the successful handover of several Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects that are currently undergoing commissioning. We hold a strong project pipeline and are at the forefront of Australia's dynamic energy industry.
Role Summary
We invite an experienced Document Controller to join our Western Australia team based in Perth, with some occasional travel to project sites. This position is crucial to maintaining precise and compliant documentation management throughout project phases.
You will oversee document control systems ensuring that all project-related documentation is properly stored, monitored, and disseminated, adhering to UGL's management frameworks and project directives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage commercial and technical documentation related to projects.
- Coordinate document control tasks including scanning, filing, and distributing drawings and correspondence.
- Maintain and update document registers with meticulous accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to document control protocols and procedures.
- Manage the Document Management System (DMS) to guarantee controlled documentation.
- Distribute approved documents and drawings to relevant project stakeholders.
- Engage with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to uphold document integrity and version control.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Document Controller, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or energy project environments.
- In-depth knowledge of document control procedures, workflows, and systems.
- Proficiency with document management platforms such as Aconex or TeamBinder.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organisational capabilities.
- Effective communication skills fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-moving, site-oriented project setting.
