Job description

Role Overview

Join our dedicated pharmacy team as a Dispenser at one of our stores, playing a pivotal role supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals in delivering safe, efficient pharmacy services. You'll engage directly with customers to understand their healthcare needs, dispense prescriptions accurately, facilitate safe medicine sales, and offer healthcare advice that empowers patients to make informed decisions about their wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medications, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy colleagues to manage and deliver services effectively.
  • Provide patients with medicine-related advice and direct complex inquiries to the Pharmacist as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee the lawful and safe dispensing of medicines.
  • Stay informed about new developments and operational processes in-store.
  • Support patients in managing their prescriptions efficiently, promoting adherence, and minimizing medicine waste.

Additional Role Information

This position is in-store within the UK; applications from outside the UK or remote candidates will not be considered without appropriate UK qualifications and right to work documentation. You will have access to updated training and opportunities to advance your career, including pathways to become a Pharmacy Technician or join store leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completion of Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 or equivalent, or ongoing MPharm with at least one year completed.
  • Valid UK right to work status; this role does not sponsor Skilled Worker Visas.
  • Community pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
