DevOps Engineer

Position Overview

Red Alpha Cybersecurity seeks a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team, focusing on the construction, automation, deployment, and upkeep of advanced application and infrastructure platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with software developers, infrastructure professionals, and security teams to ensure dependable, scalable, and secure delivery of services by leveraging DevOps and GitOps practices. This opportunity is especially fit for individuals with software development experience who have an interest in cloud-native technology, automation, and platform engineering.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain platform services using GitOps methodologies
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate application and infrastructure deployment
• Automate routine operational processes utilizing scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Monitor platform performance, diagnose issues, and perform root cause analysis
• Partner with development teams to enhance software delivery workflows
• Oversee application deployments across development, testing, and production phases
• Provide support for containerized workloads and orchestration tools
• Deploy and sustain monitoring solutions, including logging, metrics collection, and tracing
• Engage in incident handling, problem management, and ongoing service enhancements
• Ensure adherence to platform security, compliance, and configuration policies
• Document technical procedures and maintain operational runbooks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in software development or engineering roles
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control systems
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative code workflows
• Familiarity with Linux OS and command-line operations
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and automation techniques
• Experience scripting with Bash, Python, or comparable languages
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and fundamental networking concepts including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and TCP/IP
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills and teamwork capability
• Self-driven with eagerness to learn emerging technologies
