Overview
A growing company in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Data Analyst on a 12-month contract basis (possible extension), working onsite during standard Monday to Friday business hours. This newly established role supports teams in construction operations and project planning through data-driven insights to aid project prioritization.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine operational and project-related data to guide business decision-making and prioritize projects effectively.
- Create and manage reports, dashboards, and visual data tools for internal stakeholders.
- Utilize SQL and Excel to extract, manipulate, and validate datasets.
- Spot trends and deliver actionable strategies to enhance planning and operational workflow.
- Partner with business collaborators to comprehend reporting needs and convert them into insightful analyses.
- Provide continuous support for regular reporting, special analyses, and process improvement efforts.
- Maintain data integrity and uphold consistent reporting standards across various data sources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in disciplines such as Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
- A professional background of 3 to 7 years in data analysis roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel features including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and handling large datasets.
- Strong command of SQL for querying and analyzing information.
- Experience designing dashboards with Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving capabilities, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while effectively engaging with cross-functional teams.
Desired Experience
- Background in supporting sectors such as construction, engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or field operations.
- Knowledge of GIS, LiDAR, point cloud data, or other geographic spatial datasets.
- Familiarity with managing large-scale operational datasets and facilitating project prioritization.
