Position Overview
This role calls for a seasoned professional with a solid background in OpenText AppWorks development along with strong capabilities in business and system analysis and data engineering. The candidate will engage in eliciting and analyzing business needs, designing scalable data pipelines, developing dynamic workflow applications using the OpenText AppWorks platform, and partnering with various stakeholders to implement secure, efficient technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business teams to gather and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements; translate these into clear technical specs for the development team.
- Lead coordination of user acceptance testing and maintain traceability across requirements.
- Architect, build, and sustain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines supporting migration, reconciliation, and performance enhancements.
- Develop insightful reports, dashboards, and analytics datasets to facilitate informed business decisions.
- Create and configure enterprise-grade workflow applications leveraging OpenText AppWorks, managing deployment, troubleshooting, optimization, and environment migrations.
- Work cross-functionally with architects, developers, QA, and business teams to guarantee successful delivery adhering to security and audit guidelines.
- Support production deployments and swiftly handle critical incidents to maintain service quality.
Required Skills and Competences
- Expertise in business analysis, documenting technical and functional requirements, and managing requirement lifecycles.
- Proficiency in system integration, solution architecture, and OpenText AppWorks application development.
- Strong SQL/database skills including working with SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET.
- Familiarity with agile project management and ability to manage application support and incident handling.
- Knowledge of BPMN and workflow design principles.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Expertise
- Hands-on experience with OpenText AppWorks platform, Azure cloud services, and microservices architecture.
- Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and domain experience in banking, financial services or enterprise content management is desirable.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, excellent communication, analytical problem solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle competing priorities in fast-paced settings while demonstrating leadership and collaboration strengths.
Education and Eligibility
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Experience in banking, insurance, telecom, or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
