Role Overview

We are in search of a meticulous Construction Estimator to join our Livonia office. The main function of this role is to develop precise cost estimates for construction projects through thorough analysis of blueprints, specifications, and proposals. The estimator will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure estimates are in line with project objectives and budgets. Responsibilities involve performing quantity measurements, researching labor and material costs, and delivering detailed proposals to clients. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of construction techniques, strong analytical abilities, and can efficiently manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and relevant documentation to generate detailed cost estimates.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and calculate costs including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Request and assess quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare comprehensive bid submissions for client and internal review.
• Stay updated on market trends and pricing to maintain competitive and accurate estimates.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure estimates conform to timelines and budgetary limits.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in construction estimating, ideally within commercial or industrial sectors.
• Skilled in using estimating software such as Bluebeam or PlanSwift, along with Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
• Ability to interpret and understand construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Detail-focused with a solid history of delivering timely, accurate project estimates.

Compensation and Culture
