  • Set up and enforce network security configurations using VPCs, Cloud Armor, Cloud VPN, and firewalls.
  • Apply data protection strategies including encryption, key management, and data loss prevention with tools like Cloud KMS and Secret Manager.
  • Utilize Security Command Center, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring to monitor and respond to security events.
  • Conduct cloud security assessments, vulnerability scans, and review system configurations to prevent misconfigurations.
  • Support incident response and forensic analyses related to cloud security incidents.
  • Incorporate security controls into Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Ensure alignment with compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, and National Cybersecurity Authority standards.
  • Create and update cloud security policies, standards, and system hardening guidelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to address security findings and enhance the overall security posture.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Between 3 to 6 years of professional experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, or infrastructure security domains.
  • Proven expertise securing at least one significant cloud platform, with preference given to Google Cloud Platform.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud architecture principles and the shared responsibility model.
  • In-depth knowledge of Identity and Access Management, network security including segmentation and firewalls, and private connectivity.
  • Strong familiarity with data protection methodologies such as encryption and key management.
  • Experience using cloud-native security services including Security Command Center, Cloud KMS, and Cloud Armor.
  • Skill in identifying and rectifying cloud-related vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies like Terraform.
  • Capability to embed security measures within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and NCA/ECC is preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities.
