Role Overview

We're seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the core Mobbin platform and internal tooling. The role involves designing impactful features across the technology stack, with a focus on front-end development while also maintaining scalable backend systems that support millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Create full-stack features delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions.
• Develop maintainable code with comprehensive tests and documentation independently.
• Communicate technical decisions clearly, justifying trade-offs and obtaining consensus among engineering peers.
• Collaborate across disciplines, especially with designers and curators, to balance technical and business priorities, iteratively enhancing features.
• Derive detailed engineering implementations from broad feature requirements, proactively seeking clarification as needed.
• Continuously improve codebase and infrastructure for better developer experience and performance.
• Provide mentorship, promote best practices, and contribute to a positive engineering culture through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• High standards for code quality, proficient with software engineering best practices producing clean, reliable, and well-documented code with minimal oversight.
• Appreciate the importance of documentation, communication, and metrics in delivering successful features.
• Extensive experience with strongly typed programming languages.
• Advanced skills in frontend technologies, particularly React.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL, with experience using Supabase.
• Strong foundational computer science knowledge, including algorithmic thinking and programming fundamentals.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience crafting production-grade, user-facing web applications using React.
• Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Motivated to learn continuously by embracing feedback and professional growth opportunities.
• Bonus: Possess a refined visual design sensibility with a high standard for aesthetics.
