About the Role
Join a multidisciplinary team focused on creating and enhancing GPU and CPU accelerated software libraries, including projects like nvComp, NPP, nvJPEG, nvJPEG2000, nvTIFF, and nvImageCodec. These libraries support diverse processing pipelines and contribute to NVIDIA's strategic vision and expansion. The technologies power AI, data analytics, image processing, computer vision, and scientific simulations for leading global commercial and academic clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable library software for various numerical methods using contemporary programming tools and languages.
- Perform performance tuning, optimization, and rigorous benchmarking of algorithms across different hardware architectures.
- Collaborate closely with product management and internal/external teams to grasp feature needs and performance goals, shaping the libraries' technical roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to fellow library engineers within the team.
- Identify and implement improvements in library performance and abstractions to streamline code architecture and reduce maintenance overhead.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Computational Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering/science field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 12 years of experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing high-performance parallel numerical applications on modern computing platforms, including GPU acceleration with CUDA.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and software architecture design.
- Demonstrated success in leading and delivering software development projects.
- Excellent skills in collaboration, communication, and documenting technical work.
Preferred Skills
- In-depth understanding of CPU and/or GPU hardware architectures.
- Experience with modern software development processes such as CI/CD and tools like JIRA.
- Comfortable working within globally distributed teams.
- Advanced capabilities in debugging, profiling, and ensuring accuracy and performance in software.
- Familiarity with scripting languages, ideally Python.

NVIDIA is recognized as one of the most attractive employers in technology, featuring creative and autonomous professionals. The base salary is location and experience dependent; for Poland, it ranges between 375,000 PLN and 650,000 PLN annually.
