Role Overview

Positioned in Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny, and reporting to the Quality Operations Manager, this 12-month fixed-term contract role involves collaborating closely with technicians, quality managers, and associated personnel to conduct a variety of sampling and testing duties within the production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect samples from raw materials and throughout the production processes.
• Organize sampling of finished products across processing plants.
• Perform testing on samples for parameters including Phosphatase, Peroxidase, Antibiotics, Resazurin, Added Water/Total Solids, and End of Line Defence assessments.
• Conduct investigative sampling with subsequent follow-up actions.
• Carry out environmental sampling related to production processes.
• Maintain oversight to ensure Quality System compliance.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Possess a qualification related to process, operational, or technical disciplines, or have equivalent relevant experience.
• Demonstrate ability and understanding of operational procedures.
• Show aptitude for process improvement initiatives and lean methodologies.
• Exhibit proficient technical and testing capabilities.
• Capable of working independently using own initiative.
• Skilled in data gathering, trend analysis, and reporting.
• Effective team collaborator with strong communication skills.
