Pre-Sales Solution Architect - Microsoft

About the Opportunity

As digital transformation impacts the Australasian market, Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, seeks a Microsoft-focused Pre-Sales Solution Architect. This externally facing position requires engaging with reseller partners and customers to drive success in Modern Work, Security, and Copilot solutions. The role blends technical expertise with evangelism, coaching, and thought leadership within an advanced, highly credentialed team collaborating directly with Microsoft.

Core Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical lead for Microsoft-related business opportunities, collaborating with Business Development and Partner Development Managers.
• Architect solutions spanning Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune, Entra ID, Defender XDR, Sentinel, Purview, and Microsoft 365 Copilot, emphasizing Zero Trust frameworks and ethical AI use.
• Conduct envisioning workshops and "Art of the Possible" sessions to translate Copilot and security concepts into tangible partner/customer outcomes.
• Host webinars, enablement sessions, and workshops to enhance reseller capabilities and ecosystem growth.
• Establish a visible presence through publishing articles, speaking engagements, and community leadership to advance both personal and company Microsoft branding.
• Mentor partner technical teams and internal architects to support certification and pre-sales skills development.
• Lead partner programs and funded initiatives, including Copilot workshops, Threat Protection engagements, Solutions Partner designations and specializations.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-sales or solution architecture with strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Modern Work, and Security domains.
• Hands-on proficiency with core Microsoft workloads such as Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and Purview.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Copilot for Security, Azure OpenAI platform, and responsible AI adoption practices.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications including MS-102 and certifications among SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, MS-700, MD-102; foundational certificates like MS-900, SC-900, AI-900, and Copilot Applied Skills are highly valued.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively lead webinars, workshops, and executive conversations.
• An established or emerging personal brand via LinkedIn, blogs, or public speaking, with Microsoft MVP status considered advantageous.
• A passion for coaching and developing technical abilities of partners and internal teams.
• Readiness to travel within Australia and New Zealand, with potential for wider travel.
