Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to become part of an established construction and engineering firm based in Dublin. This individual will focus on accurate and compliant processing of payrolls for both the UK and Republic of Ireland (ROI) employees, ensuring smooth and efficient payroll management while collaborating with internal departments.

Location and Working Pattern

This position is located in Dublin with full-time office hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer full payroll cycles for employees in the UK and ROI accurately and timely.
  • Input, verify, and reconcile payroll information to ensure data integrity.
  • Carry out manual calculations as required and process payroll elements such as salaries, overtime payments, bonuses, and statutory entitlements.
  • Prepare BACS payment files and generate comprehensive payroll reports.
  • Ensure strict adherence to UK and ROI taxation laws, auto-enrolment protocols, and statutory obligations.
  • Manage employee benefits administration according to company policies, including pension contributions and deductions.
  • Maintain precise employee records within payroll systems.
  • Support auditing processes, internal compliance checks, and uphold GDPR requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession of a professional payroll certification such as IPASS or CIPP.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with effective time management.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with payrolls in other European countries.
  • Familiarity with payroll software systems and system improvements.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with Human Resources and Finance departments.
