Role Overview
This position is for an OTT application developer focused on native app development for embedded environments. The role centers on building, tuning, and supporting streaming applications and ensuring smooth playback across devices.
What You’ll Do
- Create, enhance, and support native OTT applications designed for embedded platforms.
- Use C++ extensively to build features and improve runtime performance.
- Work with major streaming applications such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+ Hotstar, or comparable services.
- Contribute to OTT deployment and tailoring on the RDK platform.
- Build and adapt solutions using the Yocto build system.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate, debug, and release applications.
- Investigate and fix issues related to playback quality, streaming behavior, and performance.
- Help deliver a reliable video experience across different devices and platforms.
Required Background
- Strong practical experience in C++ development.
- Prior work on native OTT applications such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+ Hotstar, or similar.
- Experience developing for embedded systems.
- Working knowledge of the RDK platform is preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to the Yocto build system.
- Good understanding of OTT streaming flows and video playback fundamentals.
- Familiarity with debugging utilities and performance tuning methods.

This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in Trivandrum, Kerala, India.
