About the Role
Join Core-Mark International as a Merchandiser, playing a vital role in supporting North America's food distribution network by maintaining and executing the SmartStock programs at retail locations throughout Interior British Columbia. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM and involves extensive travel across the designated territory including Kelowna, Kamloops, Vernon, Merritt, Penticton, and South Okanogan.

Key Responsibilities
- Executing a structured call routine as directed by the Sales Account Manager
- Maintaining frequent communication with the Sales Account Manager to receive program updates and guidance
- Administering SmartStock programs, including rack and plan-o-gram implementation, ordering, and merchandising tasks
- Proactively reducing out-of-stock situations on shelves and ensuring product freshness and compliance with date code standards
- Addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Upholding plan-o-gram adherence, marketing standards, and store compliance
- Recognizing opportunities for enhanced product display and optimizing positioning
- Ensuring all products are correctly presented, labeled, and priced
- Collaborating on problem-solving to overcome customer-related challenges
- Performing additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, reliable vehicle (snow tires may be required for winter), current insurance meeting work requirements
- Ability to use personal transportation for customer visits; gas card provided
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Capacity to interpret and apply store plan-o-gram and instructions accurately
- Proficiency in using hand-held inventory control devices, calculators, and computers
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
