Manual QA Tester

Position Overview

We are searching for a meticulous and analytical Manual QA Tester dedicated to verifying software applications function as intended and comply with defined quality standards prior to release. This role demands strong testing expertise, keen attention to detail, and the ability to detect, replicate, document, and convey software issues clearly.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases and scenarios to validate software operation.
• Analyze requirements, user stories, and specifications to determine test coverage.
• Develop and maintain testing artifacts including test cases, scripts, checklists, and documentation.
• Perform diverse testing types such as functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, replicate, log, and monitor software defects thoroughly.
• Provide comprehensive defect reports detailing reproduction steps, expected and actual outcomes.
• Retest resolved defects to verify fixes are effective.
• Conduct regression tests following new feature releases, updates, or bug rectifications.
• Test web applications across varied browsers, devices, and setups when necessary.
• Ensure software behavior aligns with business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed records of testing outcomes, defects, and progression.
• Engage in release testing and quality assurance validations.
• Support user acceptance testing activities as needed.
• Report testing status, potential risks, and quality concerns to stakeholders.
• Identify improvements for testing workflows and documentation.

Experience and Additional Requirements

• Prior experience in manual QA testing, software testing, quality assurance, or similar roles.
• Practical experience in creating and executing manual test cases.
• Competence in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Experience testing web or software applications with functional and regression testing.
• Skill in analyzing requirements and converting them into comprehensive test scenarios.
• Strong computer literacy and digital proficiency.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
