About the Role
Join JPMorgan Chase's Cybersecurity & Technology Controls Data Management team to advance cloud security and protect vital data assets. This leadership position involves designing and implementing secure data management frameworks within the public cloud, reinforcing our security posture, and fostering a resilient and collaborative team environment. Your expertise will directly influence the security and reliability of cloud-based services while supporting professional growth in a dynamic financial technology setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation and continuous enhancement of information risk and control frameworks for Data and AI/ML services in public cloud environments.
- Lead comprehensive risk-based assessments of technology controls related to cloud services, architectures, and platforms specifically involving Data and AI/ML.
- Provide authoritative guidance to business technology units regarding control mandates and security best practices tailored to diverse cloud frameworks.
- Evaluate and deliver feedback on infrastructure-as-code assets, ensuring all cloud platform developments comply with established security policies.
- Prepare and upkeep thorough documentation supporting security projects and contribute to agile workflows.
- Work closely with various security functions including security operations, threat intelligence, identity and access management, and network security to guarantee cohesive security integration.
- Mentor junior security engineers to build team expertise and enhance collective knowledge.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with cloud security principles including IAM, encryption, network protections, and logging mechanisms.
- Practical AWS expertise with an emphasis on security-related features and implementations.
- Interest and exposure to Data Analytics and AI/ML technologies, notably Generative AI and large language models (LLMs).
- Strong analytical thinking, problem resolution capabilities, and effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant AWS certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate), or AWS Data Engineer Associate.
- Experience with cloud engineering, architectural design, and automation utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and agile methodologies.
- Proven track record in mentoring or upskilling junior team members.
- Knowledge of SaaS data platforms including Snowflake and Databricks.
