Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing team, assisting in developing competitive, compliant, and lucrative pricing models for new proposals and ongoing contracts. Reporting to the Head of Pricing, you will aid in constructing cost models, rate cards, and pricing rationales for bids aimed at governmental bodies, institutional donors, and private sector clients. This position suits an early-career professional with strong Excel capabilities and analytical prowess looking to advance in pricing, bid proposal preparation, or commercial finance within the international consultancy and donor-funded sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating pricing models for new business offers responding to government, donor, and private-sector requests.
  • Complete and maintain standard pricing templates, rate cards, and cost breakdowns including labor, overheads, subcontractors, operational development expenses, and margin/fee calculations.
  • Draft clear pricing narratives and basis-of-estimate documents that justify pricing strategies.
  • Ensure pricing complies with solicitation instructions and client/donor cost frameworks.
  • Conduct market and competitor benchmarking to inform pricing tactics and win strategies.
  • Analyze prior contract costs and margins to underpin assumptions for new bids.
  • Support sensitivity and scenario analyses concerning staffing compositions, currency factors, and contract lengths.
  • Maintain and enhance pricing tools, templates, and monitoring trackers for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Finance, Contracts, and Project teams to collect necessary pricing data.
  • Participate in pricing reviews and compliance verifications before submission deadlines.
  • Monitor proposal pricing progress and deadlines, alerting the Head of Pricing to potential risks or delays.
  • Produce regular pricing performance reports and win/loss analyses for the Pricing and Finance departments.
  • Assist post-award to reconcile pricing assumptions against actual contract outcomes.
  • Propose improvements to pricing methods, tools, and documentation practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Approximately 3 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, proposal support, or a related analytical position (including internships or placements).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or equivalent fields.
  • Advanced Excel skills encompassing financial modeling, formula application, and pivot table use; numerically proficient with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication capabilities for drafting clear and concise pricing justifications.
  • Proven ability to manage numerous tasks under fast-changing, deadline-sensitive bidding environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with a collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork.
  • Familiarity with government or donor solicitation protocols and cost principles (such as USAID, FCDO, EU) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages pertinent to IN2’s geographical operations are welcomed.

IN2 is dedicated to attracting top talent while fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. Applications from all professional and cultural backgrounds, irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity, or religion, are highly encouraged.
