Job description

About Strata Information Group (SIG)

Strata Information Group, a prominent US-based higher-education technology consulting firm, specializes in assisting colleges and universities to modernize their core systems encompassing student information, HR, and finance through ERP/SIS implementations, integrations, digital transformations, CRM, and cybersecurity initiatives. The organization is establishing its inaugural engineering Center of Excellence in Pune, India, inviting candidates to join as foundational members who will actively shape the team’s operational framework rather than follow rigid, pre-established processes.

Role Overview

The Integration and Data Intelligence Delivery Lead operates as a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in Ellucian Banner and Colleague higher education ERP environments. This role focuses on ensuring exemplary technical delivery quality, nurturing technical talent, and guaranteeing uniformity in delivery standards across the local technical team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level technical leadership on client projects, encompassing development, implementations, upgrades, integrations, workflow customization, reporting, and system enhancements.
  • Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and scope alignment in technical deliverables.
  • Monitor technical project health; identify and address risks, obstacles, and delivery issues proactively.
  • Offer expert oversight on complex initiatives and intervene when senior technical guidance is required.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical problems related to integrations, reporting, and system defects.
  • Collaborate with project managers to clarify technical timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Escalate significant delivery challenges to senior practice leadership for broader operational resolutions.
  • Assist consultants encountering unfamiliar technical areas and provide guidance to expand their expertise.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and establish development goals for team members.
  • Communicate practice-wide updates and act as a technical liaison within SIG and with other teams on compliance or regulatory projects.
  • Develop and uphold technical quality standards; create reusable assets, templates, and documentation; standardize methodologies and tools for enhanced efficiency.
  • Integrate new Artificial Intelligence technologies to elevate delivery standards.
  • Lead day-to-day mentoring, conduct regular workload and development check-ins, and foster cross-training to minimize knowledge silos.
  • Encourage a culture of collaboration, accountability, and pragmatic problem-solving.
  • Engage with sales and project teams to define technical resource needs, participate in scoping and solution design, support RFP efforts, and refine Statements of Work.
  • Partner with recruiting to guide hiring criteria, assess candidates technically, and maintain skill inventories for workforce planning.
  • Advise on staffing based on skills, workload, and project demands; identify resource constraints and make assignment recommendations.
  • Act as the primary technical escalation contact, resolving architecture or integration issues and coordinating cross-functional solutions.
  • Work closely with functional leaders, project managers, and practice heads to improve inter-team collaboration and communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of professional experience with Ellucian Banner and/or Colleague in a higher education environment or consulting role.
  • Robust technical knowledge of Banner/Colleague architecture, integrations, workflow, extensions, reporting, custom development, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with implementations, system upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.
  • Proven leadership skills in guiding technical problem resolution and mentoring team members.
  • Strong proficiency in English, with the ability to work overlapping hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST) at least three days per week.
