Role Overview

The Housekeeper is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and orderly condition of the hospital environment. This role entails cleaning various hospital spaces such as patient rooms, offices, classrooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, and food service areas. The duties involve sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing floors, and vacuuming hallways, stairs, and offices. The individual must handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to prescribed guidelines. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or GED, with prior experience in housekeeping preferred, particularly within healthcare settings. Competency in using housekeeping equipment like vacuum cleaners, buffers, mops, and carpet cleaning devices is required. Candidates should also have basic reading and numerical abilities alongside customer service skills.
