About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Audit Administrator to join a well-established, three-partner Chartered Accountancy firm located in County Meath. With a strong client base spanning over 30 years, the firm delivers exceptional audit, non-audit, and sole trader accountancy services across various sectors. This role offers a supportive and professional environment with excellent work-life balance, accommodating 3–4 days per week on a part-time or full-time basis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare audit packs and maintain working paper files ensuring completeness and compliance with firm templates.
- Organize, upload, and archive client documents following established procedures.
- Conduct post-audit file housekeeping, including finalisation, archiving, and version control.
- Carry out basic audit testing under supervision and assist with data entry for audit working papers.
- Follow up promptly on pending client deliverables.
- Support time and billing administration as needed.
- Provide general administrative assistance to managers and aid audit teams in system and process improvement projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years' experience in a general accounting practice.
- Good understanding of Accounting and Auditing Standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish professional client relations and confidence in client dealings.
- Team-oriented with a proactive and efficient work approach.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CCH Accounts Production, Excel (intermediate level), DRIVE practice management and client database systems.
- Experience using Virtual Cabinet, Sage Line 50, Microsoft Office Suite, and Omnipro Working Papers.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary ranges from 35,000 to 40,000 on a pro-rata basis.
