Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager at PET HOUSE will be instrumental in aiding all aspects of store management including operations, customer interactions, grooming service coordination, and team leadership within a store operating year-round as both a pet essentials and service outlet.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and product displays in both physical and online stores
- Ensure smooth daily operations across offline and online platforms
- Provide product and service information accurately to customers while upholding politeness and professionalism
- Guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction and trust
- Support grooming operations by coordinating appointments, assisting groomers during busy times (technical grooming only with proper training and authorization), and ensuring the grooming area's cleanliness and safety
- Collaborate closely with front desk staff, groomers, and other team members to maintain staff discipline including appearance and conduct standards
- Promptly report operational or customer-related issues
- Assist in meeting monthly sales targets through recommending products, grooming, and wellness services
- Promote ethical sales practices
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock inspections, returns, exchanges, and documentation processes
- Manage administrative tasks including daily sales reporting, billing, petty cash handling, and coordination of home delivery and grooming bookings
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required and maintain punctuality for all store operations
