Asset Protection Representative

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence within stores to deter theft, fraud, and breaches of company policies.
• Confidently and lawfully detain offenders in compliance with legal and company regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations both internally and externally, gather evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Work with store management to analyze loss patterns and implement effective strategies to minimize inventory shrinkage.
• Ensure adherence to corporate standards, security procedures, and applicable provincial laws.
• Adapt flexibly to changing situations and maintain efficiency within a fast-paced work environment with variable scheduling.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a valid Provincial Security Guard License and possess knowledge of relevant laws such as the Criminal Code of Canada and Trespass to Property Act.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment including CCTV and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor with excellent communication skills, approachability, and confidence.
• Exhibit strong integrity, accountability, and a proactive attitude toward identifying and resolving issues.
• Prior experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-traffic retail environments is advantageous.

Compensation

Starting wage is $21.00 per hour, with final compensation influenced by candidate’s experience, knowledge, and job location.
