Overview
As part of the growing Joe Duffy Group, Ireland's top motor retailer spanning 24 locations and 13 renowned brands, we invite applications for an Apprentice Service Advisor position at our modern Porsche Centre in South Dublin. This role offers an excellent chance to develop your career within the leading automotive retail group, receiving at least six months of thorough and structured training.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary knowledgeable contact for Porsche customers requiring vehicle servicing or repairs.
- Effectively coordinate communication among the workshop, dealership teams, and customers, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Handle all service-related phone and walk-in inquiries for the dealership.
- Assess service requirements and diagnose vehicle issues as needed, establishing clear work agreements with customers.
- Manage workshop capacity and accurately update the service scheduling system.
- Oversee the handover and administration of Customer Service Vehicles.
- Clearly explain completed work to customers to ensure their understanding and authorization.
- Address customer dissatisfaction by liaising with the department manager and following dealership protocols.
- Comply with Porsche manufacturer brand service standards.
- Maintain safe work practices and adhere to dealership rules and standards.
- Stay updated on comprehensive product knowledge across the full Porsche range.
- Ensure accuracy in all relevant system entries and documentation.
Training Program
This trainee position involves a customized training pathway lasting approximately six months, covering Joe Duffy Group’s processes, database management, marketing, customer service, and aftersales essentials. Training methods include mentorship, observation of experienced advisors, classroom instruction, and brand-specific sessions.
Candidate Requirements
- A full and clean Irish or EU driving license valid for both manual and automatic vehicles is mandatory.
- Eligible to work full-time in Ireland with the necessary visa.
- Background in customer service, telesales, retail sales, or customer engagement preferred, though prior motor industry experience is not required.
- Strong passion for delivering excellent customer service along with motivation and ambition to grow in the role.
