Industrial Design Intern

About the Role

Ayu Devices, an innovative startup originating from IIT Bombay, is offering an opportunity for an Industrial Design intern based in Bangalore. The company develops technological medical devices aimed at enhancing the early detection and diagnosis of specific heart and lung diseases, aiming to significantly improve healthcare outcomes in India.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate design concepts and develop creative solutions.
• Create detailed 3D models using CAD software.
• Build prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs.
• Perform user and trend research to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate across different functional teams to align on product goals.

Applicant Requirements

• Must be a Mechanical Engineering student or enrolled/recent graduate in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related fields.
• Availability for a full-time in-office internship starting between August 28 and October 2, 2026, for a duration of 6 months.
• Proven skills demonstrated via a portfolio or prototypes showcasing design thinking, sketching, 3D modeling, and physical prototyping.
• Competence in 3D CAD modeling software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360.
• Experience with rendering and visualization tools, along with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Compensation and Perks

• Monthly stipend ranging from INR 8,000 to INR 12,000.
• Certificate of internship completion and letter of recommendation upon successful completion.
