Technical Architect

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the target architecture aligned with business and product strategies.
• Set architectural guidelines, principles, and standards while guiding the technology roadmap.
• Lead the platform's transition from legacy systems to modern architectures, balancing technical debt, speed, scalability, and sustainability.
• Provide senior-level technical problem resolution, reviewing solutions and helping engineering teams navigate complex design decisions.
• Oversee architectural considerations for performance, reliability, scalability, disaster recovery, and security.
• Shape cloud infrastructure including AWS, Docker, microservices, event-driven architecture, CI/CD, observability, and automation strategies.
• Steer AI integration by defining standards for AI/ML features, privacy, testing, monitoring, and cost management.
• Mentor cross-functional engineering teams, delivering architectural guidance and effectively communicating strategy to stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 8 to 10 years of experience in software engineering, with extensive architectural roles, ideally in SaaS or cloud-native environments.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, API design, scalability, and cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to deeply engage in technical details and implementation reviews.
• Strategic mindset balancing technical idealism with business and product needs.
• High level of autonomy and ownership over technical decisions and driving initiatives forward independently.
• Leadership capabilities to influence across teams without relying solely on formal authority.
• Interest and knowledge in AI applications within software development, supporting safe and effective AI-assisted development practices.
