Stocker - Aisle

Job Overview

The Stocker position in the Floor department is responsible for delivering prompt, courteous customer service, efficiently stocking products on shelves, and ensuring aisles and storage areas remain orderly and clean. You will work under the supervision of the Floor Supervisor, Assistant Floor Manager, or Floor Manager, performing essential stocking and safety duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, timely, and polite customer service.
• Unload boxes from pallets, place products on shelves, and open cartons to replenish individual items on display.
• Rotate merchandise to prevent expiration of products on shelves.
• Organize and face items neatly on shelves.
• Conduct inspections to comply with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards.
• Assist with daily inventory reviews for product rotation to minimize shrinkage and damages.
• Ensure shelf pricing is accurate and reflects current market prices.
• Maintain cleanliness through regular scrubbing, cleaning under pallets, and scheduled maintenance.
• Evaluate floor conditions to identify and eliminate safety risks; promptly clean spills and remove debris such as plastic wrap, ties, wood pieces, etc.
• Report low stock or out-of-stock items to supervisors immediately.
• Adapt to other job duties and departments as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Wearing steel toe boots is mandatory.
• Must be capable of lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs at various heights and frequencies, including frequent lifting over 12 times per hour.
• Push/pull strength capacity up to 500 lbs horizontally.
• High levels of agility, manual dexterity, and finger dexterity (rated 80-100%).
• Ability to stand and walk continuously, reach overhead occasionally, twist head constantly, bend/stoop frequently, climb steps or ladders occasionally, and kneel or squat as needed.

Work Environment

• Exposure to moderate temperatures including refrigerated and freezer areas; temperatures near receiving and front-end fluctuate with outdoor conditions.
• Presence of moving equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scooters.
