Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will take ownership of the technical direction and delivery of critical products and systems. This role is hands-on, involving system design, coding, and steering key engineering projects from conception to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of significant products, systems, and engineering initiatives.
• Create scalable and dependable solutions spanning backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with the team through coding, prototyping, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in production environments.
• Make strategic architectural decisions balancing factors such as performance, scalability, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and maintainability.
• Transform ambiguous product challenges into well-defined technical solutions and actionable execution plans.
• Enhance engineering quality by improving system design, testing standards, security measures, observability, and development workflow.
• Lead critical technical projects and mentor engineers across different teams.

Candidate Profile

• At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience with a proven record of delivering production-grade systems.
• Deep knowledge in backend, frontend, distributed systems, API development, databases, or cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Strong expertise in designing complex and high-scale system architectures.
• Excellent coding skills and a commitment to maintaining a hands-on approach.
• Proven experience leading significant engineering projects from initial design through to production launch.
• Capability to evaluate technical trade-offs, influence engineering teams, and effectively resolve complex production issues.

Work Environment and Language Requirements

This position is fully remote and welcoming candidates from any location globally. The role demands comfortable collaboration within an international, fast-paced, and distributed team environment spanning multiple time zones.

English is the primary business language, and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
