Software Engineer - Human Data Platforms (Remote)

Role Overview

We are recruiting for a Software Engineer specializing in Human Data Platforms to join our client on a full-time remote basis. This role focuses on the design, development, and upkeep of scalable data platforms that handle and analyze datasets created by humans. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing large-scale data infrastructure, ensuring high performance, robust reliability, and comprehensive security.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and enhance data pipelines capable of processing vast human-generated datasets efficiently.
• Build and sustain backend services supporting both real-time and batch data processing workflows.
• Engage collaboratively with data scientists and analysts to maintain data accuracy and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to guarantee platform stability and uptime.
• Participate in architectural strategy discussions aimed at improving scalability and system performance.

Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise in backend development using Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience working with distributed systems technologies such as Kafka and Spark or their equivalents.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure relevant to data infrastructure.
• Proficiency in utilizing SQL and NoSQL databases for the storage and retrieval of data.
• Strong understanding of data governance, as well as security and compliance practices.
• Capability to design and optimize data pipelines focused on scalability and performance.
• Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude and meticulousness when troubleshooting intricate systems.
