Software Engineer - DevOps

Role Overview

We seek an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team, focusing on designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS and Azure. You will implement high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and optimize cloud costs through FinOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and oversee scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS and Azure platforms.
• Ensure system resilience with high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Manage cloud resources with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Create, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins.
• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes (AKS/EKS), including Helm chart configuration and security management.
• Implement monitoring and alert systems with Azure Monitor, Prometheus & Grafana, and ELK/EFK stacks, leveraging AI-driven anomaly detection and automated remediation.
• Practice DevSecOps by integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, managing secrets with Azure Key Vault or AWS Secrets Manager, conducting vulnerability assessments, and adhering to standards like ISO, SOC2, and GDPR.
• Automate infrastructure tasks and build self-healing systems using scripts written in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Utilize AI tools for log analysis, performance tuning, incident forecasting, and integrate ChatOps tools for communication and deployment automation.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, security, and product teams, engage in architectural design discussions, mentor junior engineers, and maintain thorough documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Three to five years’ practical experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience managing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Advanced scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI-powered operations monitoring (AIOps).
• Understanding of microservices architecture principles.
• Exposure to serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
• Knowledge of GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
• Familiarity with FinOps and cost governance strategies.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale, high-traffic systems.
