Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Software Engineer (SDE III) to join our expanding engineering division. You will be responsible for designing, constructing, and scaling backend infrastructure that supports our product offerings. In this senior technical role, you will lead major projects, influence architectural decisions, and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and secure backend services and APIs.
- Manage comprehensive project lifecycles from conceptualization through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers and Designers to deliver outstanding user experiences.
- Drive technical architecture discussions, propose solutions, and promote best engineering practices.
- Produce clear, efficient, and maintainable code accompanied by thorough testing.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level developers through reviews and design sessions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, addressing bottlenecks and operational issues.
- Keep abreast of the latest backend development technologies, tools, and methodologies, disseminating knowledge within the team.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 7 years of backend development experience.
- Proven expertise in creating and managing distributed, scalable, and high-performance systems.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design concepts.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform and familiarity with modern continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with proven capacity to thrive independently in a dynamic setting.
Additional Preferences
- Enthusiasm for startup culture, comfortable with uncertainty and rapid development cycles.
- Previous involvement in early-stage or rapidly growing startups is advantageous.
