Job Overview
PULSE, a collaborative venture between EDGE and INDRA, is searching for an experienced Radar Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of sophisticated radar technologies for defense purposes. The role encompasses participation across the entire engineering lifecycle, from modeling and analysis to integration, qualification, and engaging with customers technically, all while adhering to rigorous defense and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive radar system design tasks including defining architectures such as Pulsed, FMCW, and AESA, specifying signal/data processing, RF components, and antenna parameters.
- Conduct system modeling and performance evaluations utilizing tools like Matlab/Simulink, Python, and radar simulation software.
- Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to maintain technical integrity across the radar system and ensure compliance with defense engineering standards (MIL-STD).
- Handle the integration, testing, and qualification of hardware and software both in laboratory and real-world environments, employing professional RF and measurement instrumentation.
- Assist with validation efforts, resolve system-related problems at all levels, and contribute to detailed documentation, design assessments, and technical discussions with clients.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of five years experience in radar system engineering and design.
- Demonstrated capability to deliver technical solutions in regulated environments.
- Extensive practical experience using radar test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Proficient in modeling software including Matlab/Simulink, Python, ADS, and CST.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information effectively in reviews and customer engagements.
